Cannes Lions and El ojo de iberoamérica
Winner of both a Cannes Lions and an El ojo de iberoamerica award, Federico Vidal began his love affair with filmmaking at the young age of 14, when he produced his first experimental short. The native of Buenos Aires, Argentina went on to study filmmaking at ORT II and by the age of 22 had completed several short films, two of which were screened at major museums in Buenos Aires. After working for several years as a post-production coordinator, editor, andfirst AD, Federico started his directing career in 2004 with Cinetauro and then started directing for La filmadora. Since then he has directed more than 130 TV Commercials for top brands such as Mercedes Benz, Burger King, and Nivea in both the local and international markets. He is known in particular for his comedic style and vibrant dialogue. Federico has also taken drama courses with acclaimed director Raúl Serrano and has studied the Stanislavski method, which has given him a unique skill set for directing actors. He is fluent in English, Spanish and speaks some French.
