Born and Raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Luis Enrique studied Communications at the University of Puerto Rico, where he produced two short films. He went on to work as a Production Coordinator and Producer, and eventually an Editor and Creative Director, for some of the largest production houses on the Island.
Since 2003, Luis Enrique has been working exclusively as a Director and is currently one of the busiest in Puerto Rico. For the past six years, he has also made his mark in the U.S. market, directing a number of high profile commercial campaigns and working with top agencies and their clients, including Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Suzuki, 7 Up, Kia Motors, Denny’s, Radio Shack, J.C. Penney, Draftfcb, Leo Burnett, JWT, and DDB, among others.
Luis Enrique is known for his edgy and humorous story-telling as well as his efficiency on set. His unique style has led to numerous awards, including: multiple FIAP, Ojo de Iberoamerica, Premios Caribe and Cúspide Awards (Puerto Rican advertising awards).
Luis Enrique just released his first feature "Por Amor en el Caserio". It is currently the most visited local film in Puerto Rican theaters.
